The Myth About
Hyaluronic acid
Several books cite old research on the topic of hyaluronic acid in Kombucha.
It is not certain where this theory came from, although it may be linked to the noted improvement in some cases of vision and the improvement of joint flexibility in arthritis sufferers. Hyaluronic acid is noted in the vitreous humor of the eye and in the connective tissues.
The scans for these chromatograms have been damaged. I am attempting to retrieve
copies of the original documents from the lab so that I can scan them again.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
As the chromatograms on the left show, the peak response time for hyaluronic acid is not found in Kombucha from Canada or Germany (or any other place that we've analyzed).
These analyses clearly indicate that there is no hyaluronic acid in Kombucha.
